Access all of your files and stream them to your iOS device from any PC or Mac computer. Privately share any file (peer-to-peer) with any of your friends, or publicly to any social network. It’s easy, private, unlimited and free streaming of all your files with younity!
Upon launching younity, you’ll be asked to login in with either Facebook, Google, or younity before you can begin using it on your device. Having an account is necessary because this will be used to connect all of your devices together to enable the sharing of files. Once you have completed the signup process you will be prompted to download younity on another device and sign in there as well so you can access files on both devices. Once you have done and completed this process you are ready to begin using younity.
After signing in on multiple devices, you can begin browsing Music, Videos, Photos, and Files on each device that you’ve signed into. Tapping into a category, such as Music, will bring you into the file viewer for that category. From the file viewer, you can start browsing for the file that you are looking for and once you’ve found it you’ll be able to take action upon it. For example, if you are looking for a song, tapping on that song will begin streaming it from the other device to the one that you are currently using. From there it’ll be just like using a dedicated music app on your device. This method will work the same way whether you are looking at photos, videos, or files on younity.
Where things really start to set younity apart is the sharing aspect of the file system. From the file viewer in a category you will notice a blue box in the bottom right-hand corner, tapping on this will allow you to select files, photos, videos, or music that you would like to share with your friends, family, peers, or whoever. Sharing a file will not upload it to any sort of cloud folder, the link that you share will allow this person to directly download it from you device like more peer-to-peer sharing networks. You’ll be able to share with contacts on your device as well as Facebook, and the best part is that they don’t need younity installed for you to share files with them!
