This is a relatively simple matching app that takes place at a haunted house. The twist that makes it different from other matching apps is found in the options. The game can be set in several ways the first being choosing 8, 10 or 12 windows to match.
The second option is choosing what you will match. There are seven options which range from matching pictures to pictures, pictures to words, simple noun words, rhyming words, sight words, beginning consonants or ending consonants.
The third option is found in the Choices screen. This app allows auto leveling so as you progress the app will automatically move up to the next level. You can turn this feature off which would allow younger kids to stay at a picture to picture matching when they are not ready to move up to a picture to word matching level.
The app also includes a Parents area. This section provides detailed instructions about the game and it’s functions. This is not something you find on many apps. I found it very informative and allowed me to understand the app and how to use it more effectively.
The app also has a few hidden surprises that can be touched to reveal a dog, owl and z front door that comes “alive.” Although simple but cute these do not change when you play the different levels.
For .99 cents this app provides a fun way to work on matching and a some reading skills. The parent section and self leveling option makes this an extremely great buy.
