How to Reset to Factory Settings on LG G4

At some point, you might want or need to make your phone as clean as the day you got it. Whether you’re selling or giving your device away when upgrading, or you just want to start fresh, here’s how to reset your LG G4 to factory settings:

Note: resetting your phone to factory settings will erase ALL data on your phone, including signed-in accounts, system settings, app data and settings, and all media on the device (photos, video, music, etc).

To reset your LG G4 to factory settings:

  1. Open the Settings app from the home screen or app drawer.
  2. Tap on the Backup & reset menu.
  3. Tap on Factory data reset.
  4. Confirm the reset by tapping RESET PHONE then entering your passcode or unlock pattern if one is set.
  5. Tap Delete all, then tap OK. The reset process will begin, and your LG G4 will restart.
