Before jumping into Radio Royale, you’ll need to create an account. This will allow you to sync all of your favorites across your devices as well as participate in the chatroom for your local radio stations. You can easily link your Facebook account to pull in all of your information to make things easier for you. Once the account is setup you’ll be brought into the main menu.
On the main menu of Radio Royale, you’ll see four different tabs you can go, though: Local AM, Local FM, My Stations, and My Videos. Tapping into the Local AM or Local FM tabs will do the same basic things, one will just search for your local AM stations and the other will search for your local FM stations. Once you’re in a tab you’ll see a list of all of the available stations that you can listen to using Radio Royale, and this is where the fun beings.
Tapping on a radio station will begin playing it live, just as if you were listening to it from your car stereo or any other AM/FM receiver. While a song is playing, Radio Royale will pull in artwork, iTunes links, and music video link. If the station is currently at a commercial you’ll just see the Radio Royale logo in the background. As an added level of fun, if you’re on an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus if you tap on the artwork you’ll see a really neat water ripple effect on your screen!
