New RX 580 x6 Mining Rig Build Underway

I was finally able to get enough RX 580 GPUs at a decent price to build another rig. At the time I am writing this, many suppliers are out of stock and when they do have stock, are limiting to one purchase per customer. I have had to get tricky. I purchased a few from Amazon, Newegg, BHPhoto, and one from Ebay. Everything arrived yesterday and I started the build.

Today, I am working on getting Windows installed. Because I am filming this build, I went through the entire setup process. If I was not filming, I would have just cloned my drive and purchased another Windows 10 license. Windows 10 updates, kill me now!

I have been posting updates to the AltCast Social Media channels, so make sure to follow along there if you like behind the scenes stuff and build photos. I will do my best to keep it interesting.

This new build includes the following parts:
1 x Intel G3930 7th Gen Celeron Desktop Processor: http://amzn.to/2BBHHN2
1 x ASUS PRIME Z270-A LGA1151 ATX Motherboard: http://amzn.to/2BbsdOY
1 x Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300) RAM: http://amzn.to/2BUlypa
4 x MSI VGA Graphic Cards RX 580 GAMING X 8G: http://amzn.to/2C39QJH
1 x Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 580 8GB: http://amzn.to/2CTOcqY
1 x XFX GTS XXX Edition RX 580 8GB OC+ 1386Mhz: http://amzn.to/2DnstbU
1x Corsair HXi Series, HX1200i, 1200 Watt Power Supply: http://amzn.to/2klDMJb
1x SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB Solid State Drive: http://amzn.to/2B4WAGj
1x Mailiya 6-Pack PCIe Riser Adapters: http://amzn.to/2BTVQkG
1x GPU Mining Case Rig: http://amzn.to/2l3wrC4
1x Windows 10 Home Edition USB: http://amzn.to/2C3RVTd

I will eventually replace the two non-MSI cards with the same MSI cards. I have found that for overclocking purposes, it is easier to have all GPUs be the same.

I will post more updates once this build is complete. It has been fun. I enjoy building the rigs.
