Tablets are really handy as a device for casual use for things like looking up info on the web, watching web videos, and playing games. And since they’re less personal than a smartphone, tablets can be shared easily between friends and family members. But when you want a more personalized experience, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 features user profiles. User profiles allow an individualized experience, including customizations like wallpaper and app shortcuts, separate accounts on apps, and more. Check out how to set up User Profiles on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2:
When you first set up your Galaxy Tab S2, a default user profile is created. This is the device owner’s profile, and is active whenever you use the device before setting up additional user profiles. A guest user profile is also enabled, so that you can let others to use your tablet without allowing access to any private information or to change any settings.
To set up a new user profile:
- Open the Settings app from the home screen or the app drawer.
- Open the Users menu.
- Tap Add user or profile, then follow the instructions.
- Once set up, each new user has a name and user photo attached to the profile, a personal home screen and apps, and can log in to their own accounts in apps and services.
To switch between user profiles:
- Open the Notification Panel by swiping down on the status bar.
- Tap on Manage Users, then tap on the profile you wish to use.
To remove a user profile, including all it’s customizations and personal apps:
- Open the Settings app from the home screen or the app drawer.
