One of the most common ways that people customize their phones is by setting a custom ringtone. Unfortunately, there is no way to use anything other than the built-in default ringtones on the Nexus 6. But don’t despair! There are still ways to get the ringtone you want to use with your Nexus 6. Here’s how:

- Though there may not be a way to set a custom ringtone using Android by itself, third party apps can still add ringtones.
- We recommend Audiko Ringtones from the Google Play store for it’s wide variety of songs and tones to use. Your ringtones are also saved to use on the web and other devices after signing in.
- Another recommendation is Zedge Ringtones & Wallpapers, one of the most popular apps on the Google Play store.
- Finally, we can create ringtones using audio files already on our device using the Ringtone Maker app. The app will automatically find all the files you can use as a ringtone on your device, you simply tap the one you want, adjust to the section of the song that you want to use as you ringtone, then save and apply.
