How to Add and Change Ringtones on the HTC One M9

It might seem obvious how to change a ringtone on your phone, but how do you add new ones? Let’s walk through how to add and change ringtones on your HTC One M9:

1. Open the settings app on your One M9 and tap on Personalize under the Personal section.
2. Locate and tap on Ringtone under the sound section.
3. You’re given a list of ringtones that come pre-installed on your HTC One M9. Tap on any of them to preview the ringtone. On the top banner, you’ll find a plus button, here is where you can add your own ringtones to use with your phone. You’re given the option to select ringtones from themes you’ve downloaded, or songs in the Music app. Check out our article on how to add music to your HTC One M9 if you haven’t already done so.
4. Once you pick a song to use as your ringtone, tap Add at the bottom to add the song to your ringtone list.
5. Tap Apply to begin using your selected song or tone as the default ringtone for your One M9
