One of the biggest features of GoPro’s new HERO4 Session camera is that it’s so small, you can stick it practically anywhere. Sometimes though, “anywhere” is out of your reach. GoPro offers a separate remote so that you can control your Session without being within arm’s reach. Here’s how to connect the Smart Remote to your HERO4 Session:
- Put the remote into pairing mode by powering on the remote, then holding the Settings/Tag button for four seconds.
- On the camera, press the Info/Wireless button to display the status screen.
- Press the Info/Wireless button to cycle to RC, then press the Shutter/Select button to select it. The camera automatically begins pairing.
- A checkmark in a box icon will appear on both screens once the devices are paired. You are now ready to use your GoPro Session with the remote control.
