Galaxy Note 5 Home Screen Tips

Check out the top tips and tricks for configuring and customizing the home screen on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5:

Change Wallpaper

1. Tap and hold any blank space on your homescreen.
2. Tap on Wallpapers at the bottom, then pick any image from the Gallery app.
3. Wallpapers for the lock screen and home screen can be individually set by changing the selection in the dropdown menu of the image selector.

Add and Remove Widgets

1. Tap and hold any blank space on your homescreen.
2. Tap Widgets.
3. Tap and hold on any widget, then drag and drop to the desired location.
4. To remove a widget, tap and hold on the widget, then drag the widget to the trash can icon at the top of the screen.

Add or Remove Home Screen Pages

1. Tap and hold any blank space on your homescreen.
2. To add a page, scroll to the right and tap on the screen with a large plus sign.
3. To remove a page, tap and drag the page to the trash can icon at the top of the screen.

Change Icon Grid Size

1. Tap and hold any blank space on your homescreen.
2. Tap the Screen Grid icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll to page you’d like to change the grid for.
4. Tap the desired grid size, then tap Apply.

Change themes

1. Tap and hold any blank space on your homescreen, then tap on the Themes icon at the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose from one of your themes.
3. Tap on Store at the top of the screen to browse the Theme Store.
4. Once you have found a theme you’d like to use, tap on the Download button on the page for that theme, then tap Accept and Download on the popup dialog. After the theme downloads and installs, you can then tap Apply to use the theme immediately.

Add folders

1. Drag and drop an icon onto another icon until a square highlight behind the icon appears.
2. A folder is created containing the two apps. At this point you’re prompted to name the folder, and you can choose to either give it a name or leave it blank.
3. You can customize the background color of the folder by tapping the Palette icon to the right of the folder name inside the folder.
