FineScanner turns your mobile device into a powerful all-purpose mobile scanner to quickly capture docs and books, creating electronic copies in PDF and JPG, and apply online OCR to recognize texts from scans for further editing and sharing.
When you first launch FineScanner your devices camera will initiate allowing you to scan whatever document that you’ve placed in front of it. The controls are very simple, you can quickly snap a photo, or multiple, and FineScanner will then allow you to take those images and convert them into digital documents that you can then store in the cloud and/or on your device. There are some more advanced features in the main camera scanner such as a document finder that will automatically find and size the image based upon the paper size, a book setting that will scan two pages at the same time and break them apart in the document, and the option to use the best shot, which will allow FineScanner to snap multiple photos of a document and choose the one it thinks is best.
After taking all of the images necessary for your specific document, you can then choose to crop, rotate, and apply filters to it. Once you are satisfied with the results you’ll then save the document by closing a name, page format, add tags, and categories. The tags and categories will help you to better search for documents after you have scanned in multiple items. You can choose to do none of those as well, FineScanner will automatically determine the best page format and give it a default name, the tags and categories will always be up to the user. Once the document has been given all of the necessary naming and tagging, it will then be added to your file archives.
In the Archive of FineScanner, you will be able to find, see, and read all of the documents that you’ve scanned. On the left side of the screen will be a list of all of the documents, newest at the top, that you can begin searching through to find what you need. You can either tap on one, it will load in the right side of the screen, or you can search by text for what you are looking for. Once a document has been opened you can tap on the right side of the screen to open it in full screen and read it in all of its beauty! You can even opt, if you’re using the Pro features, to upload the document to the FineScanner servers and have the text OCR’ed to enable a crisp and beautiful reading experience.
