How to Customize Your Home Screen on LG G4

From cars to clothes, houses to hairdos, people like to customize and make things unique. Our smartphones are no different. Here’s some tips on how to customize and organize the home screen on your LG G4:

Changing the Wallpaper

1. On any blank space on the home screen, touch and hold until the customization menu appears.
2. Tap on Wallpapers at the bottom left corner.
3. Tap on either a source for your image, or swipe through and pick from one of the included wallpapers.
4. Tap on the Home button to exit the customization menu.

Adding and Removing Home Screen Pages

1. With two fingers on the screen, make a pinch-in gesture. This brings up the home screen overview page.
2. To add a page, tap the Plus button next to your last page.
3. To remove a page, touch and hold the page you wish to remove, then drag to Remove at the top of the screen.

Adding and Removing App Shortcuts

1. To add an app shortcut on any of your home screens, find the app in the app drawer.
2. Tap and hold on the app icon.
3. Drag the app icon to the home screen.
4. To move the shortcut to a different home screen, drag the icon to the edge of the screen in the direction of the desired screen.
5. To remove an app shortcut, tap and drag the app shortcut to Remove at the top of the screen.

Creating Home Screen Folders

1. To create a folder of app shortcuts on the home screen, find or add an app shortcut you would like to have in the folder.
2. Find another app you want to add to the folder from either a home screen shortcut or in the app drawer.
3. Drag this second app on top of the first app shortcut. You will see two icons on a gray overlay indicating a folder.
4. Continue dragging your desired apps into the folder.
5. To remove an app from a folder, tap and hold on the app icon, then drag out of the folder.
6. To remove an entire folder, either tap and hold on the folder and tap remove, or simply remove every app from the folder.

Adding Widgets

1. On any blank space on the home screen, touch and hold until the customization menu appears.
2. Tap on Widgets in the center of the bottom of the screen.
3. Swipe through to view all the available widgets.
4. Once you have found the widget you’d like to add to your home screen, tap and hold the icon, then drag to the home screen.
5. To move the widget on the home screen, tap and hold the widget, then drag to the home screen page and location you’d like it to be in.
6. To remove a widget, tap and hold the widget, then drag to Remove at the top of the screen.
