Released just in time for Valentine’s Day, Blow a Kiss is an app that allows you to create a kiss that you can send from your iPhone to either another iPhone or an email address.
Creating the kiss is easily the most fun part of this application. You can paste a variety of lip shapes and styles on a white background or decorate a picture from your phones with hearts and flowers to send to your loved one. Once your kiss is completed you actually blow into the phone’s microphone in order to send it across cyberspace to your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/mistress/friend-with-benefits/stranger you think is cute.
In order to send a kiss to another iPhone, both you and your recipient need to have the application installed, open and connected to the same Wi-Fi network at the same time, which makes it seem sort of silly. In the time it takes me to upload a picture and design a kiss, I could just as easily walk across the room and get a real one. Thankfully there’s an option to send via email, which I used to surprise my wife while she was at work.
For only $0.99, Blow a Kiss is a fun application to have. You may not use it terribly often, but when you do, there’s no doubt it’ll be appreciated.
