AppsFire – Daily Android App Deals

Many people know that Amazon offers a free app of the day; however, the Internet megastore’s offerings have been a little lackluster lately. Who will step in to fill Amazon’s shoes? Appsfire hopes to fit the bill, and the service provides plenty of other benefits for app developers and advertisers who want to be successful in a market that’s almost bursting at the seams.

We took a look at Appsfire, which has a website that easily lets you find apps for the iPhone and iPad, the original focus of the service. You can sort by device and view today’s free apps to compare them to their original price. Appsfire lists plenty of games and photo editors, but those aren’t the only apps available to you. PDF readers, business card scanners and eCard apps are also listed on the website. Of course, the apps change as deals change.

Consumers and developers alike can see the most popular apps in the iTunes app market or from Google Play. Aside from showing the most popular and recently added apps, Appsfire will let you know what your friends are adding, so you can check out the latest game to hit the market without asking anyone.

Appsire has recently expanded its support for mobile devices with its Android app. Now, you can install the app to your phone or tablet to view daily Android app deals without opening your browser. The Android app includes a few others features, too. You can kill tasks directly from Appsfire if you’d like.

Although the app itself seems a bit busy, it provides plenty of useful functions. Consider the “My Apps” tab that lists all your apps. You can add favorite to receive alerts when they go on sale or become free to download. It’s one way to cut back in a tight economy. If you’re sick of Amazon’s App Store killing your battery, then Appsfire will show you the company’s free app the day without logging in to Amazon at all.

However, it appears that the Android version doesn’t link to the Play market, which most uses would probably prefer. Additionally, alerts of daily Android app deals seem to work better on the iOS version. While I like seeing this app for Android, it seems a bit unpolished at this time. I’d like for it to be more refined before Appsfire is a truly valuable addition to my phone.
