A New Kind of Tweet

Twitter surprised a lot of people with their design overhall recently. But some people didn’t get it right away. After some further investigation it was shown that in order to use the new layout on your computer, you needed to have the new Twitter iOS or Android app installed on your device, and linked to your account.

Once this task is completed, give it a little bit of time and twitter will automatically update you to their new layout. I kind of liked this feature, it made me feel like I was apart of some kind of cool VIP club or something, rather than always being picked last in gym class, I came in first here.

The new Twitter application is super easy to use and looks a lot better than some other ones as well.

One of the advantages of using this specific Twitter app on your iOS device is that the twitter built in integration is set up to use this, making using twitter from your device, easier than ever.

The new update is a lot faster than the old one, no more waiting 539 years for your timeline to load, and then subsequently crash soon after. This release is much more stable to boot.

The sleek way of seeing new content in a given tab is a little blue light under the tab, letting you know “hey, look at me!”

The Home button is naturally where you’ll find your timeline. Once you select a tweet you can @Reply a user, retweet, favorite or copy the tweet as well. From a user’s profile you can follow or unfollow, all redesigned I might add. See recent tweets, or see similar Twitter accounts to that user.

You can now see interactions between users, or just your @mentions as well. and even see #Hashtags in its own tab.

This app is fully ready to handle more than one account at a time and from the Me tab you can easily select the Switch Account option. Under that are your personal settings, like allowing messages or not from people you follow or from just anyone.

This is a whole new Twitter experience with the added bonus of having the new design on your home computer as well. Which is awesome to be apart of the cool kids’ club. One thing is for certain, if Twitter keeps up the innovation, they aren’t going anywhere for a very long time.
