The app provides a cleaning solution to users just by typing in the stain and surface. The answer for removing the stain appears in a few seconds. It covers nearly 50 solutions for stains and spills. However, if the user does not find the stain they are looking for, they can inform the developer through a contact function to be included it in future update. The stain and surface database is updated regularly to ensure user satisfaction. ESC also provides information for the stains that affect about 40 areas or surfaces. The premise of designing this app was to provide a better solution to people who are tired of searching the Internet to find a simple answer on how to remove stains in the households from dripping red wine on costly carpet to sauce on shirts.
“I wanted to create a useful app that could sit on someone’s phone or tablet with all the information needed at their fingertips, to combat the stains/messes that people come across regularly in every day life”, says 911ESC app developer Owens.
“The idea came to me after searching the Internet trying to find a solution to remove permanent marker off of my kitchen bench after my son had drawn on it”.
